There are some places on Earth that people are not allowed to go to. The reason for this is that these places need to be safe and secure. Some of these places have things that could get broken easily. They have things that happened a long time ago that we want to remember. Other places are just not safe for people to be in. Even though people really want to see these places they are not allowed to go. Here are ten places that the Earth has that most people are not allowed to visit.
Area 51
This place is really secret. It is used by the military to test things. People who are not supposed to be there are not allowed in. The military has a lot of security. It is in a desert far away from people so everything that happens there stays private and safe.
North Sentinel Island
This island is where an isolated tribe lives. The government does not let visitors come to the island of the tribe. This is to keep the people of the tribe and their way of life safe. You are not even allowed to go near the island of the tribe.
Svalbard Global Seed Vault
Do you know that the seed vault is a place that keeps seeds from all around the world. It is like a box that will help people have food in the future. The seed vault is underground. It is very secure. Only workers who have permission can go inside the seed vault.
Snake Island
This island is full of snakes that can hurt you badly. The government does not let just anyone go there because they want to keep people from getting seriously hurt. Only scientists who have been given permission are allowed to go to the island.
Vatican Secret Archives
These archives have old documents and records in them. The public is not allowed to look at these things. Only people who are trusted researchers and have been given approval can look at the materials that’re inside the archives.
Lascaux Caves
If the air and light in the caves change it could hurt the paintings and they will be ruined forever. The paintings in these caves are very special. That is why the people who are in charge want to protect these caves and the paintings in them.
Heard Island
This island is really far away and the weather is very bad. The animals that live there are safe because people cannot easily get to the island. You can only go to the island if you have an okay and that is only for people who want to do science projects on the remote island.

Niihau Island
This private island belongs to one family. You can not just go there. You need to get permission from the family to visit the private island. It is currently managed by brothers Bruce and Keith Robinson.
Pripyat
The city of Pripyat was left empty after a big nuclear accident happened decades ago. People say that some parts of Pripyat are still not safe to be. People are not allowed to go to areas of Pripyat because of the bad radiation and worries about safety.
MWEOC
The Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center is a secure government facility designed for emergencies. Its location and purpose are protected. The public is not allowed near the site.
